  • Rich Dad Poor Dad

    2013

    After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, Clay & Evan Manship decided to buy their first rental property in Indianapolis at the age of 23.

    After receiving their first rent check, they were addicted to investing in real estate.

  • First Deal

    2014

    After acquiring two more rental properties, Clay and Evan decided to buy a duplex. Although, after touring it...decided it wasn't for them.

    This led to Mainstay's first wholesale transaction—where the duplex was sold to another investor, leading to a win-win for both parties.

  • New Beginnings

    2015

    Clay Manship officially decides to step away from his full-time job and focus entirely on Mainstay.

    Jaros Crenshaw is hired as the first, full-time employee and currently serves as the VP of Acquisitions for Mainstay's sister company, Midwest Cash Offer.

  • First Office

    2016

    Mainstay wholesales 28 properties and completes its first fix-and-flip project in Indianapolis.

    As the company grows, more space is needed. Mainstay purchases its first office to account for additional staff.

  • 2017

    The Mainstay team grows to seven, including Clay and Evan's brother, Aaron, and father, Cory.

    Mainstay serves as a sponsor of Indianapolis' biggest charity event of the year: Indy Zoobilation.

    In learning more about charitable giving, this sponsorship paves the way for the Manships to found The Manship Foundation in 2020.

  • Team

    2018

    Mainstay branches into two companies—Mainstay Property Group, and its sister entity, Midwest Cash Offer.

    Midwest Cash Offer is one of the largest direct-to-seller property aggregators in the Midwestern United States, having bought and sold over 1,200 properties since 2018.

  • New Building

    2019

    Mainstay Property Group acquires and occupies a new office building in the SoBro neighborhood of Indianapolis.

    The 5,609 square foot building allows for both current occupancy and additional growth into the future.

  • 2020

    Mainstay Property Group is the recipient of the coveted "Fast 25" award from the Indianapolis Business Journal, coming in as the 12th fastest-growing small business in the greater Indianapolis area.

  • Best Places to Work

    2021

    Mainstay Property Group is awarded as one of the 2021 "Best Places to Work in Indiana", with its staff growing to 13.

    Alongside Midwest Cash Offer, Mainstay begins serving clients in Louisville, KY and Cincinnati, OH.

  • Today

    TODAY

    Mainstay Property Group has served hundreds of clients across the globe.

    With its staff of 23, Mainstay is now operational in four, midwestern markets, and will buy/sell in excess of 600 properties in 2022.

 

Meet the Team

From the very beginning, it has been a family thing. Twin brothers, Clay and Evan Manship, have maintained that this business should continue to be family-first and community-oriented. The results speak for themselves.

Since starting the firm in 2014, Clay and Evan have grown Mainstay from a two-man operation into a team of 20+ members transacting in excess of 500+ properties yearly for investors just like you.

  • Principal

    Evan is the face of Mainstay Property Group. Evan's primary focus is growing the business, forming relationships with investors, and pursuing vendor relationships.

    If not on the phone with an investor, Evan enjoys rooting on the Xavier Musketeers, and spending time with his wife Emily, and daughter, Elizabeth.

 
 
 
Clay Manship


  • Principal

    Clay is a "behind the scenes" guy...and he likes it that way. You won't hear from him much, but Clay is always dreaming up new ways to do business, and ensuring that we are headed in the right direction.

    When he's not at the office, Clay can usually be found spending time with his wife, Diana, and their two dogs, Mack and Riley.
